There are many private guest houses throughout Ireland. These are private homes converted into B&B rooms at a moderate cost per person. Breakfasts are generally very good, full cooked delights.

Your room is always clean, neat & tidy and many hosts are surprisingly friendly and helpful.

Some guest houses do offer Dinner Bed & Breakfast, many only B&B. It is very unlikely that you will find a true guest house offering a bar and liquor licence.

There are many other places where you can play the 19th hole in the evenings and often, deep into the night if that is your preference; just make sure you are as quiet as a mouse when you are return late to your guest house.
